Announcing “Suggest a Price”
Hi, I’m Mike Russo, the founder of SparkOffer. I’m here to tell you about a great new feature that we’ve introduced to SparkOffer. You see, our goal is to help buyers and sellers come together quickly to get an offer and negotiations in place so that everybody can get moving. We’ve changed our “make an offer” feature- which allows a buyer to make an offer directly to a seller- to “suggest a price”. We’ve realized, from buyers, that even the thought of making an offer in a non-binding format may still be a little scary. The sellers want to hear from you, though, and so our “suggest a price” feature is addressing this problem of stagnation in the market.
When buyers see a price on their screen that they don’t necessarily see value in, and a seller is unsure of the price in the market, that’s a recipe for stagnation. Zillow has changed the way the market works for them because sellers are becoming paralyzed about wanting to change their price, because they know that they can never undo that decision. So we’ve created SparkOffer so the two of you can start communicating. So go ahead, find a property you like on SparkOffer, suggest a price that you’re willing to pay and get the conversation started. We look forward to helping you.
